Cleaning Procedure

  • What is high pressure cleaning?

  • What is soft washing?

    Learn about Soft washing.

  • How long will a clean generally take?

It solely depends on what you are wanting cleaned,  the size of the area, how heavily affected it is with organic growth, site access, weather and any other challenges that may arise on the day.

  • How often should I have my property cleaned?

There are several factors which could determine how often you should have your property pressure cleaned or soft washed.

Your geographical location, the type of surface, environmental conditions, and the weather all play a role in how frequently cleaning should be carried out.

As a general guide, best practice is to schedule regular maintenance cleans at least once a year for roof and house washing, and at least twice a year for driveways and retaining walls.

Over time, organic growth such as mould, algae, and lichen can damage paint, surfaces, and materials if left untreated. Regular cleaning is an important part of property care.

  • Can high pressure cleaning damage surfaces?

The short answer is yes, it can. There are several factors to consider during a clean. Distance to the surface being cleaned, chemical concentration, oxidation, and flaking paint can all cause further damage.

These issues are usually identified during the quoting stage. Clients are informed of any problem areas before the job begins, or if they are discovered on the day of the clean.

In some cases, a different cleaning method, such as a soft wash, may be more suitable for the task.

  • What process would be used at my home or business?

The method of cleaning can be identified during a site inspection, through photos provided by a client or generally the particular areas you are wanting done.

  • Is the cleaning process loud?

It soley depends on what cleaning method is used and what areas you are wanting cleaned.  The cleaning equipment creates its own noise. As an example; Sheet metal roofs are generally the loudest areas when it comes to high pressure cleaning.

The high pressure cleanier itself is run by an engine. Our softwash system is the quiestest equipment used. This is run by a small 24V pump.

  • What cleaning products do you use?

We use a range of cleaning products for our line of work. Some of our common cleaning products used include soaps, detergents, diluted sodium hypochlorite and neutralizers. This enable us to clean areas effectively as possible.

Site Preparation

  • Do I need to be at home during quoting or on the day of a clean?

We can quote and clean if you aren't present, as long as we have access and you are happy with this arrangement.

  • Do you need site access for your vehicle and trailer?

Our dual axle trailer is quite large and most of the time we position it on the street in front of the property. Any concerns will be discussed with the client.

  • I have animals what should I do?

Although we do love cats, dogs and birds, it would be best suited to keep your pets indoors during a clean.

  • Will my grass or plants be affected by the cleaning products?

We are selective when and where we spray our cleaning products. Any areas which we believe may be an issue, we pre-wet prior to cleaning, during and after just to be on the safe side.

  • What utilities do you require for cleaning?

We only need access to water on the site. If you have concerns with water pressure at your property please let us know prior so we can plan accordingly. We do not require power at all.
